• OpenOffices: An open-source multiplatform and multilingual office suite. Here is my review. I was thinking about replace Microsoft Office with the OpenOffice package. After I tried OpenOffice (2.3.0) on both Window and Linux Platform, I found it is very unstable. I tried Writer (Word equivalent) and Impress (Powerpoint equivalent) and experienced the program unexpectedly shutdown frequently. Even though no data were ever lost from the auto recovery, but the annoying shutdown every 10-20 minutes led me to the decision not to make it my office suite of choice. I guess I will have to rely on Microsoft Office for the time being.
